In 2024, Fondazione Amplifon continued its commitment to promoting social inclusion and a culture of kindness.
With eight projects in motion, over €4 million invested, and more than 26,000 people reached directly, the new Social Report highlights a year of growth, consolidation, and new challenges—both in Italy and internationally.
Ciao!, the initiative originally launched during the pandemic to help elderly people stay connected with their loved ones, now engages residents in over 250 care homes across Italy, Switzerland, and Portugal—with France and Australia joining in 2024. Every day, residents take part in cultural, recreational, and interactive experiences—from concerts to virtual travel, yoga classes to creative workshops—thanks to state-of-the-art video technology.
The Foundation also turned its focus to seniors living alone in suburbs, where isolation and loneliness are often a part of everyday life. Throughout the year, targeted interventions helped reduce loneliness, improve mental well-being and housing conditions, and foster new opportunities for connection and socialization.
Amplifon employees played a key role in this journey, expressing a deep desire to belong to a caring and inclusive community. In 2024, they took part in over 600 volunteering activities across Italy and abroad, bringing warmth and companionship to older individuals.
Kindness remains the Foundation’s core. Following the launch of the Kindness Manifesto, Fondazione Amplifon introduced the podcast Sulla Gentilezza, with over 125,000 downloads, and the Kindness Festival, which reached more than 2.5 million people.
This reflection on kindness extended to the entire Amplifon Group through the Kindness Labs, workshops that explore the role of kindness in society, led by guest speakers from the worlds of culture, journalism, and civil society.
At the heart of every project are the people: the elderly, volunteers, care home staff, and partners who help bring each initiative to life. 2024 was a year in which, once again, a network of relationships became a living, welcoming, and inclusive community.
This is where the work of the Foundation moves forward: inspired by the power of kindness and by listening deeply to those who still have so much to teach us.
