VIVA GLI ANZIANI!

Amplifon Foundation has been supported the "Viva gli anziani" program, from the Sant'Egidio Community, to supporting and taking care of elderly in Italian cities, combating loneliness and isolation, and focusing on home care.

Since its launch in 2004, the Program has reached more than 14,000 over 80 elderly people and, in Rome, it has involved more than 23,000 people in the informal help network. In Milan, a similar project has been developed in the Corvetto neighborhood, involving 120 people who have benefited from continuous telephone monitoring as well as in-person assistance when necessary (medical visits, purchase of food, etc.).

This project has been implemented by Amplifon Foundation through the collaboration of around 30 volunteers from Amplifon, who provided support and comfort to the elderly of the initiative, and, at the same time, monitoring their state of well-being. The total number of beneficiaries reached in this project was 2,406 in 2021. In addition, thanks to in-person moments new friendships were born with the possibility of exchanging small thoughts for example for Easter and for Christmas.
